Matthew Linecar-Boulton is a towering figure on the global stage of dance and performaning arts. His sterling career, embodying both professional performance and dynamic dance instruction, places him among the top echelon of global influencers in the industry.

Matthew's extraordinary journey commenced with dance classes, spanning all dance forms from a tender age. At 16, he won a coveted place at a prestigious ballet school, marking his first stride into the world of professional dance. He graduated with an unparalleled Distinction, securing five prestigious teaching qualifications from the esteemed Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. His deep-rooted understanding of Child Psychology, Anatomy of a Dancer, and Ballet History underscores his comprehensive and global approach to dance instruction.

Matthew is a luminary testament to the fact that the finest dance educators possess not only formal qualifications but a wealth of on-stage experience that echoes across continents. This belief propelled him into a career on stage, which saw him enchant audiences in an impressive eight West End shows, including world-renowned productions such as 'Magic of the Musicals', 'Fame', 'Starlight Express', 'Mary Poppins', 'Desperately Seeking Susan', 'Wicked', and 'We Will Rock You'. His incredible talent even led him to perform before HRH The Queen at Buckingham Palace and English National Ballet.

Parallel to his glowing performance career, Matthew has continued to dedicate himself to teaching at premier dance colleges both across London and nationwide, including the globally respected Royal Ballet School, White Lodge. His inspiring lectures and innovative

choreography have lit the path for numerous students, guiding them to successful performing careers on international stages in globally acclaimed productions.

His exceptional experience and deep knowledge were recently honoured by the British Ballet Organization, which bestowed upon him a teaching qualification, acknowledging his invaluable contributions to their syllabus delivery.

Under his distinguished leadership, Dancebox Studios & Theatre Works is not just a college, but a global epicentre for excellence in the world of dance, cultivating and inspiring the world's next generation of performers.

 

Theatre credits: Dance management and Swing in We Will Rock You (Dominion Theatre, West End); Chistery in Wicked (Apollo Victoria Theatre, West End); Desperately Seeking Susan, understudy Jay and Alex (Original cast, Novello Theatre, West End); Footloose, as alternate Ren McCormack (UK tour and Playhouse Theatre, West End); Mary Poppins (Prince Edward Theatre, West End); Starlight Express, playing Purse and understudy Caboose (Original cast, UK tour); Tonight’s the Night understudying Bonehead and Travolta (Original cast, Victoria Palace Theatre, West End); Fame understudy Nick Piazza and Goody (Aldwych Theatre, West End) and The Magic of the Musicals (UK tour and Palladium Theatre, West End). He was also offered roles in Cats, Sinatra, Chicago, Grease and High School Musical.
