MATTHEW LINECAR-BOULTON

FOUNDER & CEO

Matthew Linecar-Boulton, the inspiring leader and founder of Dancebox Studios & Theatre Works, has an illustrious reputation in the global dance world. His journey began at a young age and was marked by a significant milestone when he earned a coveted spot at a prestigious ballet school at just 16. Subsequently, he graduated with five Distinction-level teaching qualifications from the esteemed Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).

​

As a seasoned performer, Matthew's understanding of dance is deeply enriched by his extensive stage experience and his background in child psychology, the anatomy of a dancer, and ballet history. His impressive career includes performances in eight renowned West End shows, such as 'Wicked', 'We Will Rock You', 'Starlight Express', and 'Mary Poppins', and he has had the honour of performing for HRH The Queen and the English National Ballet.

​

While Matthew doesn't directly teach in the studio, his insights and experiences are the bedrock of Dancebox's philosophy. As the CEO, he guides the institution, ensuring that every lesson is a reflection of his passion, experience, and deep understanding of dance.

​

Matthew's exceptional contributions to dance education were recently recognised by the British Ballet Organization. But Matthew is more than just a performer or an educator—he is a beacon in the dance world. Under his watchful eye, Dancebox has become a hub for dance excellence, nurturing and inspiring the world's next generation of performers.

​

TOM LINECAR-BOULTON

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Tom Linecar-Boulton, a compassionate leader and distinguished alumnus of the Central School of Ballet, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role as Managing Director at Dancebox.

​

His exciting journey in dance, filled with enriching experiences, began with his graduation that led him to join the prestigious K-Ballet Company in Japan. Upon his return to the UK, Tom pursued a vibrant freelance career, engaging with the English National Ballet. He shone brightly on the stage, particularly as Billy's Older Self in the multi-award-winning West End musical, Billy Elliot.

​

In 2009, Tom's passion for nurturing talent led him to transition from the stage to education. He became a respected member of the Ballet Faculty at Bird College, and despite receiving an offer as Head of Dance at Bodywork, Cambridge, he chose to inspire young talents as the Head of Graduate Performance at Tring Park.

​

Tom’s commitment extends beyond the stage and studio. He has worked closely with some of the UK's leading examination boards, including bbodance, where he developed a new Musical Theatre syllabus, and the Royal Academy of Dance, where he was part of the Continuing Professional Development Working Group.

​

Academically accomplished, he holds a BA (Hons) in Dance & Culture from the University of Surrey, a PGCE from the University of Greenwich, and a Diploma in The Art of Classical Ballet from the Central School of Ballet. He's a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). His significant contribution to dance education was recognised when he was shortlisted for the directorship of the Council for Dance, Drama, and Musical Theatre (CDMT).

As the Managing Director of Dancebox, Tom's role may not be in the studio, but his influence and dedication to providing a nurturing and inspiring environment for your child is unmistakable. His leadership ensures that every child at Dancebox benefits from world-class instruction in a caring, supportive environment that fosters their love of dance.

LIBERTY TAVERNER

DANCEBOX JUNIORS PRINCIPAL

Liberty, the new Principal of Dancebox Juniors, is an industry stalwart and an experienced educator who is taking the helm of our esteemed institution at this exciting time. Liberty's deep-seated passion for the performing arts, paired with an extensive background in performance and pedagogy, positions her as a leader in our field and a champion of excellence in training, in a safe and nurturing environment.

​

Liberty's journey in the performing arts began when she was only 6 years old, landing a professional role in the UK tour of Annie. This early start paved the way for her admission into the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School. At the age of 9, she took the West End by storm, joining the cast of Billy Elliot for a memorable three-year tenure.

​

Having trained rigorously in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Acro, Liberty has competed at a plethora of festivals and dance competitions across the UK, demonstrating not only talent but a resilient spirit. Her education at The Urdang Academy, culminating in a Professional Diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre, and her performance with Little Mix at the Brit Awards, testifies to the caliber of excellence she has achieved.

​

But it's not just her impressive performance history that makes Liberty a leading figure. It's her passion for teaching and inspiring the next generation that sets her apart. Liberty firmly believes in introducing technique at a young age, building confidence and performance skills to empower each student to succeed. She has a genuine desire to see students proud of their accomplishments, enjoying their dance journey in a safe, supportive environment.

With Liberty as Principal, Dancebox Juniors is poised to enter an exciting new phase of growth and development. Her leadership will fuse industry-leading techniques with a nurturing approach, fostering an environment where every child feels secure, happy, and ready to shine. HANNAH FAID

RAD Syllabus Leader
Ballet, Modern & Contemporary Teacher

Hannah's dance journey commenced with an eight-year tenure as an associate at The Royal Ballet School, a prestigious institution known for its rigorous training and dedication to the classical art form. During this formative period, Hannah had the opportunity to perform with the renowned Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Kirov, experiences that nurtured her talent and further fueled her passion for dance.

​

Following her time at The Royal Ballet School, Hannah enrolled at The Arts Educational School Tring for full-time training. Here, she deepened her understanding of dance pedagogy, earning her FDI teaching qualification and laying the groundwork for her future role as a dance educator.

​

Hannah further honed her skills at Rambert, one of the world's leading independent dance companies, where she gained a BA (Hons) in Ballet and Contemporary Dance. This academic achievement reflects Hannah's commitment to mastering both the traditional and modern aspects of dance, enhancing her versatility as a dancer and teacher.

​

Upon graduating, Hannah danced professionally with the Vienna Festival Ballet, demonstrating her talent on an international stage. She has since shared her knowledge and passion with aspiring dancers in various schools across Buckinghamshire, teaching and choreographing in a range of dance styles. Among her many notable achievements, Hannah performed alongside the legendary Darcey Bussell in the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games, a testament to her standing in the dance community.

​

Hannah brings a wealth of experience to Dancebox, nurturing each child's individuality. Her journey, from performing in the Olympics to professional ballet, is a wellspring of inspiration. Under her mentorship, your child will be empowered to explore dance's limitless possibilities, fostering their creativity within a supportive environment.

TIA OGILVIE

Ballet, Tap, Modern & Commercial Teacher

Tia's dance journey began at the tender age of three, immersing herself in a diverse range of styles including RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, Jazz, Commercial, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. These early experiences nurtured her love for dance and set the stage for her remarkable path.

​

A proud graduate of Dancebox College, Tia flourished in numerous productions and shows, leaving a lasting impact. Her dedication and talent earned her a UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts and a UAL Level 4 Professional Dancers Diploma.

​

Driven by her passion for dance, Tia feels grateful to pursue what she loves every day, and she cherishes the opportunity to share her deep love for dance with all of her students. Her caring and supportive approach creates a nurturing environment where every student feels inspired, encouraged, and valued.

​

Tia says "I am so grateful to be able to be doing something I love everyday and sharing my passion for dance to all of my students."

MONTANA DARBY

Commercial Teacher

Montana Darby, a versatile professional in the realm of commercial dance, modeling, choreography, and teaching, radiates passion and dedication in every aspect of her artistic journey. 

 

Montana's talent has graced screens through appearances on Channel 4's Alan Carr Chatty Man, captivating audiences with her magnetic presence.

​

Beyond her television accomplishments, Montana has delighted crowds across Europe, captivating audiences at various concerts and festivals. Her devotion to dance, performing, and teaching runs deep within her heart and soul.

 

Montana feels incredibly grateful to pursue her true calling, allowing her to indulge in her passion every single day. Her greatest aspiration is to inspire young performers, encouraging them to embrace their dreams wholeheartedly. With Montana as their guide, your children will be motivated to explore their potential, driven by the same passion that ignites Montana's spirit.

MILLIE LOPES

Ballet, Tap, Modern & Commercial Teacher

Millie started her dance training from an early age in ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern. She then continued her early training with BBO Ballet and Tap, achieving high grades in all examinations. As well as examinations Millie regularly competed in national dance competitions and performed in theatre productions and pantomimes at Milton Keynes Theatre, such as Evita, Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat, Cinderella & Snow White. Millie was also selected to be a BBO Jazz Scholar and to be part of a youth commercial dance company training in London at Pineapple Studios. 

 

Millie has been part of Dancebox since it began! She started as a student in the Junior School, then moved on to gain a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance on the Sixth Form course at Dancebox College, before undertaking her professional training on the BA (Hons) in Professional Dance & Musical Theatre.

 

Millie has completed her Level 3 Personal Training qualification, as well as achieving a Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching with BBO. Millie enjoys inspiring all age groups in all of the dance genres we offer here at Dancebox.

RUBY CLIVE

Ballet, Tap & Modern Teacher

Ruby started dancing at the age of 5. She continued her training, firstly with a Level 2 Diploma in Dance at Birmingham Ormiston Academy and then with the Sixth Form course at Dancebox College. She is now in the first year of her BA (Hons) in Professional Dance & Musical Theatre at Dancebox College.

 

Ruby has a Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching (IDTA) jand has several years experience teaching children's classes including Ballet, Tap and Gymnastics / Dance Acro.

 

Ruby loves to perform and has appeared in all of the Dancebox College productions, including shows at MK Theatre, the Dancebox Christmas Extravaganza, Move It, CYD? Super Convention, the Birmingham Military Tattoo to name a few!

PHOEBE SIMS

Musical Theatre Teacher

Phoebe started dancing at 5 years old training in RAD Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Lyrical, Commercial, Irish, Musical Theatre and Acting. She performed in various PHA Pantos, school musical productions and plays at her local theatre.

 

Phoebe is currently in her 2nd year of the BA (Hons) Professional Dance and Musical Theatre course at Dancebox College where she has had the opportunity to perform in a variety of events and shows including at the MK Theatre, The Dancebox Christmas Extravaganza, Move It and the MK Christmas lights switch on.

 

Phoebe had several years of experience as an assistant teacher at her childhood dance school before taking on her own classes here at Dancebox Juniors. She is really excited to be part of the Dancebox Juniors teaching team and can't wait to bring all of her passion and experience to her students!

REBECCA HARDCASTLE

Singing Teacher

Rebecca, a consummate professional in the world of vocals and performance, brings her rich experience and a nurturing spirit to her teaching practice. With seven years of teaching expertise, Rebecca empowers performers to unlock their full potential and discover new levels of confidence through bespoke acting and singing coaching.

​

Her own journey took her to the prestigious Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she graduated with an MA in Musical Theatre Performance. Following her studies, Rebecca showcased her talent as a lead vocalist for Luna Rossa Productions on DFDS Ferries, enchanting audiences with her captivating voice. She also embraced the spotlight as the principal boy in various professional pantomimes, leaving a lasting impression on stage.

​

Rebecca's passion for new musical material led her to collaborate with up-and-coming writers, contributing her skills to the development of exciting projects. Notably, she shared the stage with the esteemed Scarlett Strallen in War Time, a production that graced the illustrious West End.

​

As a teacher, Rebecca finds immense joy in guiding performers of all levels, from complete beginners to those pursuing professional careers. Her supportive approach and personalised coaching help students nurture their talents, fostering growth and instilling a newfound sense of confidence. Whether your aspirations lie in performing for fun or pursuing a professional path, Rebecca is here to nurture your journey and help you shine on the stage.
