How does the audition and offer process work?

To apply for a place at Dancebox, you need to complete two separate applications: our audition application form and an application through UCAS.

Your Dancebox audition
When you complete our audition application form, you can choose your preferred audition date. All auditions take place in person. The audition fee for 2027 entry is £50 and is non-refundable.

Your UCAS application
Most applicants complete their UCAS application with support from their school or college. If you have any questions, our Admissions Team is happy to help.

Applying for Professional Dance Performance
Our BA (Hons) Professional Dance Performance degree launches in September 2027 and is currently subject to validation (the formal university approval process). Its UCAS course code is still to be confirmed. If you'd like to apply, you can either:

• Select one of our other degree courses on UCAS for now. We'll help you change your application later.

• Wait to submit your UCAS application. We expect the course code to be available in November.

What happens after my audition?

After your audition, you'll receive one of the following:

• An offer for one of our degree courses

• An invitation to a recall

• An offer for our Foundation Course

• Confirmation that we don't feel Dancebox is the right fit for your training at this time

Some offers may be made on the day. All successful applicants will receive a formal offer after their audition.

What happens if I receive an offer?

You'll have two weeks from your audition date to accept your place and pay the £300 non-refundable acceptance fee. If you don't accept within this time, your place may be released for the next round of auditions.

Places on our courses are limited, so accepting promptly helps us manage places fairly.

Are there any other costs?

As well as tuition fees, all students pay an enrichment fee. For 2027/28 entry, the fee is:

• Degree courses: £750

• HNC: £750

• Sixth Form: £650
