APPLICATION PROCESS
To apply for either the BA (Hons) Professional Dance & Musical Theatre or BA (Hons) Professional Commercial Dance & Performance programmes, applicants are required to complete the Dancebox audition process and also apply via UCAS.
The dates for 2025 entry auditions are below:

Please note, there will be a non-refundable fee of £50 to secure your audition place.
There is also a one-off Acceptance Fee of £285.00, payable to secure a place following a successful audition.

What student accommodation is available?We have various student accommodation options available depending on preference and budget. Private Rental - We work closely with letting providers across Milton Keynes to offer good, quality private spaces that you can feel safe, secure and make like home. Many of our students choose to share accommodation to get the best options for budget, affordability and it's a great way to make new friends in and outside of college. Halls of Residence - Halls of residence are also available in the surrounding towns of Bedford and Northampton, both with short commutable distances to the college in Milton Keynes. Halls of residency offers students a private living space within a lively student community and options for all budgets and circumstances. Host Families - Host Families are a great option if you are looking for a true feeling of home, where you will be welcomed into a bustling household of caring and experienced parental adults. This option provides an environment where you can Instantly feel safe, and have people around to support your transition into living away from home.

What options are available for injury prevention or injury recovery?As well as classes dedicated to understanding how to look after your body physically and through nutrition, we have therapists and massage practitioners appropriate for athletes in the local area and close by to the college. Many of our students attend local gyms and recreational classes for physical conditioning and development.

What is the percentage of practical verses theory in each course?The time spent on practical verses theory is an approximate split of 70/30. 70% Practical 30% Theory

Do I need professional photos to apply for my audition?NO. We require one headshot and one body shot that can be taken on your phone or digital camera. For the photos to be accepted they must be clear and recognisable, so that we can identify you at the audition.

How many UCAS points do I need to apply for a degree course at Dancebox?You need a minimum of 88 UCAS points to apply for a degree at Dancebox. What is the fee structure?2024/2025 Current Fee Structure. Audition Application Fee £50 - This secures your audition date. Offer Acceptance Fee £285 - This secures your place at the college after you receive an offer, following a successful audition. *Annual Course Fee £9,250 - This is the funding required each year to complete your enrolment and full term of your course. (3 years £27,750) **Annual College Enrichment Fee - £500 (3 years £1,500) - This fee gives students access to extra curriculum studies, events and training that provide additional value on top of their course to offer more opportunities for employment upon graduation. *Tuition fee loans are available for UK students through the Student Loans Company and UK students have the option to apply for means tested maintenance loans to help with living costs. **Annual College Enrichment Fees are independently funded and not supported by the Students Loan Company.

What mental health and wellness support is available?We have onsite pastoral support for all and any students who need help getting through all the challenges presented with moving away from home, making new friends and pushing through the mental and physical challenges of completing a degree in dance. At Dancebox, our students mental health and wellbeing is top priority and we will do everything possible to ensure our students have the support they need, when they need it.

Can I apply for both the Commercial and Musical Theatre Dance Course?Both courses offer very different destinations in terms of career entry. As a result, each degree has a very different focus in terms of progression, dance styles studied and how you are trained to exit your degree to have the best skill set and opportunities to enter your chosen industry. If you are unsure what degree course you would like to study, get in touch with our admissions team, where we can arrange a separate visit or meeting to help you determine your choice of course.
