To make efficient use of your time and commitment we have several Open Day formats to suit you and your schedule, giving you the option to experience life at Dancebox in person or through our digital platforms.

What student accommodation is available?We have various student accommodation options available depending on preference and budget. Private Rental - We work closely with letting providers across Milton Keynes to offer good, quality private spaces where you can feel safe, secure and make like home. Many of our students choose to share accommodation to get the best options for affordability, and it's a great way to make new friends in and outside of college. Polhill Park Halls of Residence Halls of Residence - Polhill Park is our student halls of residence, where Dancebox students live together in shared flats. Each flat includes a communal kitchen and modern living space, and there are a variety of room types available for all budgets and circumstances. The accommodation is located in Bedford, approximately a 20-minute drive from the college. Students without their own transport have access to a private Dancebox coach service to get them to and from the college. Polhill Park offers access to a range of local amenities, adding to its appeal for first-year students. Host Families - Host Families are a great option if you are looking for a true feeling of home, where you will be welcomed into a bustling household of caring and experienced parental adults. This option provides an environment where you can Instantly feel safe, and have people around to support your transition into living away from home. What options are available for injury prevention or injury recovery?As well as classes dedicated to understanding how to look after your body physically and through nutrition, we have therapists and massage practitioners appropriate for athletes in the local area and close by to the college. Many of our students attend local gyms and recreational classes for physical conditioning and development.

What is the percentage of practical verses theory in each course?The time spent on practical verses theory is an approximate split of 70/30. 70% Practical 30% Theory

Do I need professional photos to apply for my audition?NO. We require one headshot and one body shot that can be taken on your phone or digital camera. For the photos to be accepted they must be clear and recognisable, so that we can identify you at the audition.

Can I book my Dancebox audition before I make my UCAS choice?Yes. You can book your Dancebox audition as soon as dates become available, and at any time during your choice making process with UCAS. However, we strongly recommend that you book your audition as soon as possible, as places are limited for each course and demand for audition dates are high.

How many UCAS points do I need to apply for a degree course at Dancebox?You need a minimum of 88 UCAS points to apply for a degree at Dancebox. What is the fee structure?Current Fee Structure. Audition Application Fee £50 - This secures your audition date. Offer Acceptance Fee £300 - This secures your place at the college after you receive an offer, following a successful audition. *Annual Course Fee £9,535 - This is the funding required each year to complete your enrolment and full term of your course. (3 years £28,605) **Annual College Enrichment Fee - £594 (3 years £1,782) - This fee gives students access to extra curriculum studies, events and training that provide additional value on top of their course to offer more opportunities for employment upon graduation. *Tuition fee loans are available for UK students through the Student Loans Company and UK students have the option to apply for means tested maintenance loans to help with living costs. **Annual College Enrichment Fees are independently funded and not supported by the Students Loan Company.

Can I book an audition before attending an Open Day?Yes. In fact, we strongly recommend it. If you know that you want to study at Dancebox and want to get your audition booked early before attending an Open Day, you can apply as soon as audition dates are available.

What mental health and wellness support is available?We have onsite pastoral support for all and any students who need help getting through all the challenges presented with moving away from home, making new friends and pushing through the mental and physical challenges of completing a degree in dance. At Dancebox, our students mental health and wellbeing is top priority and we will do everything possible to ensure our students have the support they need, when they need it.

Can I apply for both the Commercial and Musical Theatre Dance Course?Both courses offer very different destinations in terms of career entry. As a result, each degree has a very different focus in terms of progression, dance styles studied and how you are trained to exit your degree to have the best skill set and opportunities to enter your chosen industry. If you are unsure what degree course you would like to study, get in touch with our admissions team, where we can arrange a separate visit or meeting to help you determine your choice of course.
